
Component Rebuilding, Modifications, and Redesign
MTSU has extensive experience in rebuilding modifying and redesigning all facets of components and unit assemblies; including, but not limited to:
• Transmissions/Gear Boxes
• Spindles
• Multi Spindle Drill Heads
• Turrets
• Rotary Tables
• Ball Screws
• Automatic Tool Changers
• Carriers
Our technicians use only the highest-grade bearings and seals for our component rebuilds. When you entrust your component to our care we will perform the following scope of work:
* Complete disassembly of the unit/component
* Thorough cleaning and inspection of all internal parts
* Damaged shafts and gears will be reported to you for approval to replace or repair (at an additional cost)
* All bearings will be replaced with the highest Precision available for the application
* All seals and O-rings will be replaced with new
* Shifter forks will be repaired or replaced
* Hydraulic/pneumatic actuators will be rebuilt to OEM specifications
* Damaged copper/steel tubing along with hoses will be replaced with new
* Perishable components, such as shot pins, plungers, and dowel bushings, will be replaced
* Spindles taper and face will be ground chromed and reground as required. Care will be taken to maintain the tool gauge line
* New lube lines will replace existing lube lines
* All clutches and discs will be replaced with new
* Drawbars and collets will be inspected for condition and wear
* All component/unit rebuilds will undergo bench testing prior to shipment to our customers.
