Machine Rebuild

When your machine is rebuilt by MTSU, our highly trained and skilled technicians will restore your machine to its original new condition specifications. The existing control and electronics are maintained. We will disassemble the entire machine to the bare castings and all bearings and seals will be replaced with new.

The machine’s way surfaces will be precision ground or machined to meet or exceed OEM specifications. All Turcite©/Rulon© will be replaced with new as required. The machine tool’s geometry will be restored to its original specifications.

MTSU will recondition the spindle to meet OEM specifications. Your machine will undergo a thorough inspection in the following areas: gears, shafts and major castings. Damage to gears, shafts and castings will be reported and can be repairs at an additional cost.

During the rebuild of your machine, our technicians will completely rebuild the lubrication system. It will be tested for performance and adequate oil flow. All meter units will be replaced with new. Damaged lube lines will be replaced with new. All hydraulic pumps will be rebuilt and tested for performance, pressure and flow. We will replace all hydraulic hoses. MTSU will recondition or replace ball screws and lead screws based upon the inspection for wear Ball screws and lead screws that show excessive wear will be reconditioned. Prior to completion, if desired, the machine will be painted to colors specified by our customer.

Our technicians will inspect and clean the magnetic panel along with all limit switches and pressure switches. Damaged Sealtite will be repaired or replaced. Our electrical technicians will take the time to disassemble each electrical motor for the purpose of cleaning and replacement of shaft bearings.

Complete documentation is supplied with all machines that we rebuild. All rebuild work performed by MTSU carries a full one-year warranty on parts and labor. Each machine tool will undergo through testing and a run off prior to being re-commissioned and placed back into service.
